Help! Accessing the main needle

Hi folks, this my first posting here.

I am building the Hangar 9 Cessna 182. I am going to use a SC 1.80 4-stroke and my problem is: How do I access/operate the main needle without cutting hole in the cowl?
There have to many modellers out there that have faced the same problem, I'd like to get some advice here.

Thanks,
Erlend Moen

Default Re: Accessing the main needle

I started building one of these a few yrs back, never finished it. I have a new one in the mail right now and this one will be finished. You can do some serious measuring and drill a 3/32 hole in line with needle valve, use a LONG allen wrench to tighten the set screw, will not take away from finish. You planning on a 1.80 4cy, that might be slightly over powered for this plane I am going to use an OS 1.20 twin on mine.
