Hey Bruce.. New pic on your avatar looks good. Have you flown it? The Humpty can go either way. Learn to fly it both ways, pushing out and pushing in. Let the wind determine what you do each flight. If the wind is blowing out, I'd push to come back in and vice versa.. If you dont, you could get further out or, too close in if the wind is blowing in. The radii of the top push does not have to equal the entry and exit radii so, if you do get too far out prior to this maneuver fly it in over the top. Make the top radii big to get you back where you want to be on the X axis.. If you can practice it both ways it will make flying in cross winds a lot easier on the whole sequence. |

Excellent Training course. I wish I could just get my FS One to cooperate that smooth. They are a little slow at getting out any upgrades or plane setup downloads for the lazy guys like me. I sure need to practice all winter long.

I cant seem to get any good practice out of a sim. I have no refrencelines or anything to fly off of. Ill get set up on the runway but as soon as the ground disappears going vertical i completely lose it. Ive just given up on practicing with the sim.

Great Job Wayne. I would like that plane. I am running G3.5. Will this work? Also what speed did you slow things down to and any other setting you might remember would help too as I find that I keep losing my reference to the field and end up either hitting the dirt (trees, clubhouse etc ) or flying into the sun and the plane does the little azimuth flip which I also love![]() Lee aka CapCanuck You can send the file to lprevost_ca@yahoo.ca Thanks! |

Lee, The plane is a G2 file and unfortunately wont work on G3 or 3.5 The best way to stay online for tracking is not by looking at the ground with the sim but by knowing what atitude the plane needs to be in to not drift in or out. There are times in each video where it looks like the wings are not level but in the sim world, that atitude is keeping the plane on line. The best way to see that is in any of the spin entries.. The line leading to the spin looks like the wings are banked slightly when in reality, that atitude is holding the line. |

DANG! Actually I don;t have that much of a problem using the sim for IMAC and it certainly helps one learn the routines, which way to turn etc. I found it really helped me in the rollers too, which scared the heck out of me in real life 'till I mastered (well learned the proper "bail out routine" is more like it ) with G3.5I like the '08 Intermediate this year and is less scary with the roller going away (for the spectators anyway ).CapCanuck |
