Wayne, on Sportsman maneuvors 6 and 8 when the half roll or 2 of 4 is execuated, one is looking at the bottom of the plane correct? Now as flown both maneuvors require a PUSH to 45 down as in number 6 and push to horizontal as in maneuvor 8. It is my contension that the Aresti for these maneuvors, as drawn, is incorrect. They are incorrect because Aresti says that after the half-roll one is looking at the bottom of the plane and if you want a push to verticle then the line after the half roll becomes a red-dashed line - not a solid black line. If you look at maneuvor number 7, the part of the element after the half-roll is a partial inside loop (i.e.5/8 loop) and the plane remains upright. I do not disagree with what is flown only the "as written" partial line which I maintain should be a red-dashed line! What say you? Anyone else? How about the sequence writers? Thank you for responding. Bobby aka TDD | ||||||||||||||||||

How have you been.. I understand what your asking but in those maneuvers the G load on the pilot remains the same after the 1/2 roll or the 2/4 in the upline. I believe that is why the lines are solid. Mabe a sequence writer could answer this for sure though..

I talked with one of the sequence writers about this. It turns out that the VISIO program used to build the sequence is closely tied to the CIVA catalog hence obeys all the aerobatic rules. That means that you can't look at just a small piece of the maneuvor but that you have to look at the whole maneuvor. Wayne is on the right track. The bottom line is that I thought too much (i.e. read too much into it)! The maneuvors are correct as written and I stand corrected as well. Bobby |

That plane will be fine in Basic. Any class above Basic will require a model that replicates a full scale aerobatic plane.
