Wow, this sequence appears alot tougher then usual. I like the humpty #4 but that loop is crazy, I've never tried a loop with something like that on it, looks hard. Then the half cuban with double neg. from upright might be hard and the 6 of 8 opp. 1 1/4 pos. would be hard to hit consistently. The rest dont look too bad. What yall think?

i've been flying it on the sim, the start of the second roller messes me up because you're inverted and having the give up elevator, i'm guessing they went with 2 rolls in the 360 to keep pilots from flying way out there

The loop isnt as bad as it looks.
Since you start the 1-1/4 from inverted, you will use same rudder (direction of snap) to hold the point. Whereas in a 1-1/4 from upright, you'd use opposite rudder to hold the point.

The hardest part will be centering this entire element on the apex of the loop. The snap use's much less of the apex than the 3 of 4. The way I have flown it is to do the snap and then the first point of the 3 of 4 on one side of the loop and the 2nd and 3rd points on the other. It seems to center pretty close that way.

Ive flown it a few times and its not that bad. Keeping the loop from cork-screwing is hard. That humpty is not hard at all, a snap and a roll.

I don't have any problem with this sequence.........................With my stick plane. Haven't flown it yet. Weather turned lousy as soon as the 08 came out. I think this is a good one.

Guys... A LOT of work has been put into these 2008 sequences by the IMAC Sequence Committee. Each class had 3 distinct proposals which were worked on, flown, tweaked, flown again, tweaked again...etc. By the time we finished, all were exhausted, yet we still had Unknowns to contend with.

These 3 separate proposals for each class were submitted the the IMAC BoD & were voted upon, arriving at the final selections which are posted on the IMAC website.

A first look on the sequences should not determine whether you should "buy another jet"...but try it out.... There are certain challenges within each sequence for each & every one of us & working on these challenges will take your flying skills to a higher level. By the middle of the season you will wonder..."Why did I have this mental block in the first place? I CAN do this!!!

I have the highest respect for the members of the Sequence Committee, whose willingness to stay in the background working dilligently to put out the BEST for IMAC goes beyond "volunteerism". FYI, The present members are: Tim Attaway (SW), Rick Byrd (SC), Eddie Bernaldez (SC), Joe Cutright (SE), Joe DeRenzi (SW), Ryan Gonsoulin (SC), Andy Kane (NC), Kurt Koelling (NC), Ty Lyman (SE), Mike Stoner (SW), Tom Wheeler (NC) & myself (SE).

Thanks guys, your "behind the scenes" work is appreciated.
Lets get to the field for practice!!

And the chairman gets a special nod for keeping the troops in-step - it's a thankless task and Wayne tackles it with the enthusiasm that few could muster.

PS - the loop really is no big deal, looks worse than it actually is . . .
