Between those two I would take the Sukhoi for IMAC 1,000 times over the edge.

That Sukhoi is nice, but I think I'll take the new Dietrich 75cc Extra 260 I just pre ordered. That is, if I can bring myself to wait unti Feb. for it! Given the choice between the two birds you mentioned, I'd take the Sukhoi for IMAC over the Edge any day.

Only time will tell if the dietrich plane will be worth a darn. They do a great job of putting hot chicks next to all their planes - so hot that you don't even notice the plane. But a friend of mine flew the 42% 260 and he said he was more impressed with the chicks! Not to mention that the fuse fell apart when he accidentally got a little fuel on the foam belly.
If the Sukhoi flies anywhere near as good as the H9 35% 260, then the choice is a no-brainer. Of course, there are a ton of nice 33% birds available right now.

Bodywerks, I'm suprised you're not already complaining about the projected weight of the Sukhoi! As far as the Deitrich 260 goes, it's really no different from any other new offering from any other company. Only time will tell if it's a decent airframe. I dont make a habit of soaking my aircraft down with fuel, though. I doubt very seriously that your friend's fuse came apart from a small accidental fuel spill. Not saying it didnt happen, but I would say there was probably more fuel involved that just "a little". Heck, a built up balsa airframe will come apart if you get enough fuel on it. But, like you said, time will tell.

I would want either an extra or a yak for IMAC. They are most common for a reason. They have great traits for both precision and 3d. Are you looking for something that stands out? Both of those airframes will work, and if you fly well, can win... but an airframe that has engine, tail and wing sharing a closer thrustline and a nice tapered wing without a straight leadingEDGE will always be better for flying IMAC. I don't know much about the sukhoi, but I do know that the edge is pretty tricky to geat a nice break out of for spins. Judges do not like looking for a break to one side and instead seeing a PERFECT ELEVATOR!

75cc? go for an aeroworks yak or something. That will fly great.

Sweet! Re: IMAC Ride

Well, I changed the line a bit.
I bought a 36% Aeroworks Katana - the deal on the airframe was too good to pass up. And I'll be putting a DA 100 with MTW cans (Right, Jim?)

And because I have them I'm thinking of Hitec 5625s on ailerons, 5645s on elevators, 5745 on rudder (pull-pull) and Spektrum DS 821 for throttle and choke. I have one JR Matchbox and am trying to decide a Smartfly Equalizer of Power Expander or some such.

I have a Smart Fly super Reg and I think I'll use either 6 Volt NiMH or 2S Lithium.
I will use a DX7 Spektrum radio.

All this this to just get beyond second last in Sportsman

thanks - I have these also, one of the reasons I went for the Katana.
I'm sort of looking for the experts here to either flame the snot out of the choices or blow sunshine up my
