You might want to try somewhere a little more south than Misery er i mean Missouri
in February. you could expect up to the 30's for temps.....but its not very consistent. for example a few days ago it was cold as and we got 8 inches of snow and today its freaking 55 degrees and the ground is like a boggy marsh.

You are more than welcome to come down to Tulsa, The weather is hit and miss that time of year though. May be 10' or 70' just depends. We are having an IMAC contest April 12/13 and there will be about 6 of us practicing pretty heavy every weekend that is flyable.

Dont know if you guys have decided on a spot to go yet, but you're more than welcome to come down to Ardmore, OK and fly at our field. Our club is the Lake Country RC Flying Club, and we've got a pretty nice facility out at Lake Murray State Park. Paved runway, wide open area, close to RV hookups or motels, restaurants, stores, etc. There's usually several of us flying out there on the weekends, and I'm practicing pretty heavy also, but we'd be happy to have you. The last three weekends, it's been 55 deg. and light winds. That's no guarantee it wont be 10 deg. and snowing at the time you guys are shooting for, but it's usually pretty decent that time of year. IF it sounds good, let me know and I can get you more info.

Well thanks for the invite guys, and next year I will definitely make a few winter trips. But the guys decided this year to just make a group trip to the intro to indy contest at the end of march. We are all newbies, and figured it probably wasn't worth the trip to practice before we had an idea of what to practice, so we decided to go to an imac introduction session first. I assume we will still have plenty of flying time at an event of this nature.... I know I will at least lol

Chris,

I'll second that. Macs place is great. I haven't flown from it but have been there a couple of times to visit his on-site Hobby Shop. I make sure I have time to make the 6 hour round trip whenever I am in Atlanta on business.

I was there one Sunday a couple of years ago when a Flyin was wrapping up. There were still over 50 Rvs and trailers there.

What is the weather like down there in Feb?

It can go either way ! Not much chance of snow worries though. Mac's place is great.
