We just had our first competition last weekend.
Kurt won and he beat 8 pilots.
Shouldnt his score be 1040??

I thought number of pilots beat is counted regardless whether those pilots are IMAC members or not??

I came in second and beat 7 pilots so dont I get to add 35 points to my normalized score?
This was exactly my question. It appears that non-IMAC members are not counted as contestants that you can get points for beating for regional points.

Zee,

The picture I posted shows 0000 for those guys because this is the regional point sheet. Not the contest score sheet. Two different things completely.
Bob Hudson our RD made up this sheet. (the one I posetd in this thread)

The score sheet from the contest that was turned in by the CD is this one.

Again,

There were 9 Unlimited pilots who flew the entire contest.
3 of them happen to not be IMAC members.

Kent, we are ALL aware of the standardized rules - it is this statement, within those standardized rules, that is in question:
In addition, a multiplier of five (5) will be added to the points based on the number of competitors beaten.

According to this statement, a competitor is a competitor and if he is beaten by me, I should get points for it. Do you concur?

I have CD 13 contests and I always double check the figures before I send them to our Regional director.
Zee
The reason they do not get points is because they are not IMAC members. But yes they did compete and IMAC members beat them, so the IMAC members that beat them should be getting an additional 5 points for every one of them that they beat.

Wayne's points for the contest

4867.00

Wayne finished above 7 pilots.

7 x 5 = 35

Kurt Koelling won with 4996.27 he gets 1000.00 + (5 x 8=) 40 = 1040

Wayne's 4867 / Kurt's 4996 = 974.127

974.1267 + 35 = 1009.1267

Wayne's points carried to the points race = 1009

Rounded to the nearest whole number.

I hope this helps. Let's see.

Kent

Wayne, in looking at all of the classes it also appears that the Sportsman class is also incorrect.

Wayne, as to the NATS, since the NATS is held in the North Central Region does it count as a local contest for us ? As to out of Region contests, does the Tucson Shootout count as an out of region ? I may be mistaken, i thought there was a region last year that counted the points for the Shootout for the thier Regional Championship ?
