| Anyone got a trash bag ![]() | FWB, Of course that all depends on the wind. It's a judgement thing BTW...It was at your place last year when I applied those suggestions and yep we had no real wind to think of

Don't forget half loops as well. These are usually found as an end box maneuver but many indeed need to be quite large to get you altitude for your next figure. A negative 1 3/4 spin followed by an opposite direction 3 of 4 for instance. Almost impossible to if you enter with a tight 1/2 loop. ..........Mark

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | The description of the maneuver describes it as a 60-90° bank into a round 360° flat circle maintaining your altitude in the Z axis.

| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | Hey Guys...great discussion...So Question... I am Flying an 88" EF YaK...so the 100 foot Deadline is easy to deal with. My 9 year old son is flying (for the moment) a 56" Yak...and 100 feet out on that...well it starts looking small. Is the 100 Foot Dead line ...a sliding line...based upon scale? Safety is important, but seeing the plane is too. Thanks, Richard |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | No, the 100 ft deadline is there for all sizes of planes. 100 ft isn't really that far, even for smaller planes. Don't be concerned too much with it. Have him fly his Yak and have fun. At his age he can probably see the plane better than the judges!

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | A "K" factor is basically a way of weighting the maneuver based on how difficult it is to perform well. Similar to say technical difficulty in diving. For instance a plain loop has a K factor of 10, while a loop with 1/2 roll on the top has a K factor of 16. This K factor is then a multiplier of the score the pilot receives from the judge. The only hiccup per say is that the K factors in Imac come directly from full scale IAC. Some maneuvers are easier to do in full scale than in a model, so in rare occasions (like rolling circles) the K factor is not appropriate to the difficulty.
