That will indeed be a change.

At the this year's TAS, there was much discussion about the proper way to judge and perform both spins and snaps (flick rolls). Maybe we could continue that discussion here. Wayne did very well. Maybe he has some advice for us newcomers.

In regard to the models being models of full scale aerobatic airplanes. What about the Katana. There are quite a few versions of this airplane around in all different sizes. To my knowledge there never was a full size Katana. Is this model legal for IMAC ?

There actually is a full size version of the Katana, but it is quite different than any of the model versions you have have seen. Here is a link to the fullscale aircraft that has been built and flown by Pietro Terzi Aircraft.

Tank--I stand corrected. You know your stuff !!! Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of the new Xtreeme katana from Ultra RC for my new airplane for next year, but I really thought the Katana was sort of a composite model made of of characteristics of various full scale airplanes to perform well in 3D acro. I learned something from you. Thanks--Dan

In most cases, yes, there are landing fees that can vary from $10 to $50. These fees are there to pay for the awards given out at the event, as well as to provide a donation to the hosting club so that there is an incentive for them to host our events. Contact the CD of the event to find out what the landing fee is for that specific event.
Why do they call it a landing fee? Does the fee still apply if the plane doesn't land?

landings are mandatory.......doesn't matter how awful it is.....eventually you will re-acquaint your model with the ground.
