Thanks for the support guys. I have switched to 2.4 in the Python and my next Carden will also be 2.4. I have my eye on one and Mama has given me the nod of approval, just some logistical jockying to do.

I am torn between spending less for the Hanger9 Extra 260, as Dave V. let me fly his to finish the contest, and I must say it flew exceptionally well.....? Decisions....decisions...decisions.

I wish I had known earlier about the rogue flyers in Zillah, as I had 2.4 with me, just had not made the decision to install, based on the fact that I felt I would be safe, as I had no other competitors there with frequency conflict. Oh, well.... live and learn. I know I won't EVER risk another big plane with 72. What haunts me is I had every means to prevent this, but made, what at the time, I believed to be a sound decision. So much for thinking and logic!

The plane I am looking at is on FG, page 2, and on RC Univ. page 8. You guys look at it and please give me your feedback...? Metallic blue, white and orange. Airframe only. It is out of Georgia so I will need to arrange for crating and shipping. I need to go back in time and research which co. my other from Georgia was shipped through.

Got to go to work, will check back later. Looking forward to you getting here Sam. It'll be good to see you again.

Thanks Ben, Ryan and Dan. I just am uncertain for sure which way I'll go next.???

MR

Hey folks,

Just wanted to give an update on what is happening in Alberta. Firstly - Gordon and I are jealous of all the contests in BC and NW US. Hopefully we will make one of the last contests in Sept/Oct. I was planning to do the last Surrey contest but family plans are in the way.

We have had 2 boot camps now in Alberta with 5 guys at each. We have one more coming up this weekend. I don't expect huge turnouts in Calgary or Edmonton but we may get 12 pilots or so at each. I expect less Basic pilots than last year as some have decided its not for them; however, we have picked up some new pilots too and those that are staying on are more dedicated which is good!

Calgary may be a close(er) trip for some of you and that contest is during the Calgary Stampede which gives you another good reason to come. That contest is catering to Basic and offering Basic -> Intermediate classes. July 5-6 is the date. Info is here: www.calagryimac.com

Edmonton is a long drive for anyone (except Calgary.) I expect 2 or 3 folks from Calgary, 1 from Grand Prairie, 2 from "close to Edmonton area" and 6 or so locals. The "Edmonton" contest is just outside Edmonton at the Meridian flyer's field in Stony Plain. We are offering all classes. I expect a healthy Basic class and maybe 2 or 3 guys in Sportsman, 2 in Intermediate. July 19-20. Info is on my website - there are a couple of links further down the page: www.hammonds-hangar.com Once again I have nice prizes for this event from Smart-fly, Airtronics, QQ etc. Everyone will take home 2 or 3 nice prizes. Very nice trophies also...

Hey IMACers... a friend flies in IAC and is needing some help... if any of you are free and interested, PM me and Ill get you in touch, must know aresti!

At the Pendleton Airport in Oregon.

Quote:
for the Advanced World Aerobatic Championship being held August 1-10.

We are in the process of filling the volunteer Line Judge positions (boundary). Be familiar with reading Aresti, which is a requirement of being a Line Judge.

Another need we have is for Drivers to move the grading judges and line judges to their positions -vehicles provided, clean driving record needed.
Thanks
John

I think you would be a wise man getting the H9 Extra. That is an amazing craft!! Glad to hear you made the switch to 2.4 you won't be sorry!!! Just remember to power bus your stuff in your large planes as you can "Brown out" a 2.4 receiver and lose a plane as well. That being its only downfall it is really easy to prevent. Take care Mike, I'll see you at Oly!!

Boom

Ohhh umm I dunno about Fasssssssst only Spektrum. I wouldn't chance it though, I know that this one is cheap and expandable... http://electrodynam.com/rc/EDR-111/index.shtml

QuiQue had a brown out on his Python running 7 8711's so just be overly careful, maybe I'm too paranoid, but I wouldn't want to replace a gasser that goes in for anything other than my thumbs putting it there!!!

Mike - Give me a call and I can go over what I looked at and decided
when I put the power system together for the new Carden. I have two
Rx's in it.
