Devin: The Yak is on 72mhz. we don't have any issues with interference at our field like others do, never have in all years I have flown there. as far as owing me your plane, I am loaning mine to you and would accept all risk so don't worry about it. I just hope this weather will get it together, after all this is June, isn't it? also PRE REGISTER, PRE REGISTER,

also on another note Smart-fly has donated some cool prizes for this contest, so come and get them!!

Everyone who wants to learn how to sanbag needs to read this little tid bit I found in the archives.

Anybody else considering "moving up". You should move up in class when you are ready to do so. There is a rule that states that you must move up if you have won (1st place) in 5 contests in one season when in each contest there were at least 4 competitors that you beat. The rule is there to prevent a pilot from dominating a class unfairly. ("sandbagging") I researched this subject quite a bit last year when I was in basic. There is actually a lot written on the subject if you look for it. I agree with what I found. You should move up (usually the following season) when you are consistantly placing 1st or 2nd against the best in your class in your region. I've seen some pilots move up due to "peer pressure" or wanting to keep up with their friends, only to struggle in that higher class when they really were'nt ready to move up. And that can be discouraging. Personally, I have my own goals and peramiters that I am shooting for, and as much as others will attempt to "joke" me into moving up, I will move up when I have accomplished my goals and am ready. Some may be only interested in regional competition, while others may want to qualify and get invited to the Tuscon Shootout or other competitions, and still others may be in it only for the fun and improving their flying skills. Set your own goals and fly on to the next class when YOU are ready. And most of all, enjoy the ride.

lol kidding

Actually I agree with everything this man had to say. And you all would be best to succom to his peer pressure is you know whats good for you.
