Wow...There sure is lot's going on for everyone!!!

I would love to build something this winter, but can't decide on what kit. So, I am going to tear apart the AW 260 and pull more weight out of it and recover with a signature scheme (no ultra-crap). I am going to take the opportunity to swap out the MTW cans for RE-2's and sqeak out a bit more musle for those higher altitude contests. We'll see how much weight I can save.

I have toy'd with the idea of scratch building an Extra but I just need to get the final details of canopies and cowls.

Then I think I will be working diligently on the Nampa Escape contest. CD'ing the contest is pretty straight forward, but getting the prizes together and sponsors takes time. We always get good support from our local Hobbytown, DA, Horizon/ E-flight, SWB, Propwash video...and more. This year I already have Quick Shade on the hook for a couple of pop up canopies for our contest prizes and we will continue to get more sponsored prizes for our pilots as we go. Don't miss it!!!

Brandon

I’ll be flying my Yak next year in sportsman. I really think it's going to be a great IMAC season.

My dad also plans on flying next year in basic. He doesn’t have a plane yet but he is looking at going electric in the 30% size...

If there was a big enough indoor place in the area I would say that we should do some indoor IMAC or pattern and freestyle!

Thanks Mike. Some interesting ideas there.

I guess I will be flying Sportsman next year but I am am going to look pretty silly flying against Sandbagger Vince!

I am currently assembling a Hangar 9 35% Extra. It is of course going to all electric.

Wow, it seems like I'm the only one without a new plane. LOL Well, I've got a new one going together in Israel now, so that's pretty awesome. Just wish I could bring it home. If Grant will be so kind as to let me fly freestyle again this year, that will probably give me enough of a reason to strip the engine, servos, and all the goodies out of my 35% in Israel, and get a 35% here and just take stuff back and forth. We'll see what happens.

If memory serves me correctly, once you move up you cannot move back down a class without regional director permission. I hope those that are saying they are moving down to sportsmen will think this through, you all are very capable pilots and should not be in sportsmen when you clearly dominate the class every time you attend a contest. but if it is all about the little piece of wood you get, then you would need to take a long look at why you are flying Imac in the first place.

Me thinks you are rising to the "joshing bait" as a "bass goes to the worm"... .

Unless I miss my guess, no one was seriously considering that anyhow. Just joking around, most likely.
