That does suck, there is a limited market for that stuff so keep an eye out everyone. Not sure the person who stole would even know what it is worth or what it is for.

Bummer Chris, we'll keep our eyes peeled. Are you going to be at any contests south of the border this year???

Nick, the sandbagging talk is good-natured recognition of the work you've put in to fly as well as you do. I find that having another pilot dominate the class just makes me try harder to improve my own flying; move up when it's right for you.

thats a real "hero" thing to say jerry

Hey Nick - I am hoping maybe late in the season. Especially with all my bad luck lately and now having to sit out Calgary I sure hope I have a good late season!

It would be great to come see everyone again.

Someone found my wallet at a downtown night club ... of course everything is canceled anyway. I spread the word and I don't think the radio will show up around here. I'd pay to get it back... 2 weeks of fine tuning work is in there plus all the other bits and pieces I had in the box.

No Devin, he built the smaller electric one in the picture. It flew very well and in fact was quite impressive. Pretty little plane, but I've never known one that wasn't! How's your Carden coming? Will it be ready for the next contest? You are coming to Snohomish, right?

We are currently trying to put a weekend together so we can all meet in Oly and practice flying, calling and judging. Anyone who is a player here needs to voice up so we can make plans. Probably the weekend of the 5th of July.

Rick, the field will be useable then, right?

Everyone with Snohomish just around the corner we should be talkin the contest. Sooooo feedback....? Who's going and who isn't?

MR

Sorry about your loss Cris, whoever took it will have bad Karma and hopefully you'll get it back. Does it have your name on it, or phone number? I know that's unusual, but perhaps we can all learn something here and put our names in or on all ours. Were you at the field? This is the first theft I have heard of in this hobby in 4 years. Sorry again for your loss.

Mike,

Carden is almost complete as we speak. Ben has done 93% of the work for a Saturday maiden!! BIG THANKS BEN!!! I'm down for Oly practice, I think I raised Ben some funds today to participate too. Hopefully I can hitch hike outside his house and he'll pick me up!! I'm really looking forward to being able to setup and fly my own plane, hopefully the Compy didn't spoil me too much

July 5th practice roll call:

1. Mike Raines
2. Ben Gurau
3. Devin Byerley
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

RSVP Guys!!

The SUV was in the driveway 30 feet from our bedroom window.

I got a 14MZ FASST from the LHS! I can't believe they had one in stock (and that my wife was so good about handing over our money - that was her big screen and PVR shes been wanting right there.) It sure hurt handing over the $$$. And I had to cancel my replacement Python too. I lost one 2 weeks ago - its been a really bad 3 weeks is all I can say.

And yes - no name or phone number. My name is programmed in the radio though.

Sorry to hear that Chris. My trailer and 40% Carden were stolen a year and a half ago, never saw either of them again.

Wow! That's hard buddie.... not to try and pacify you but try this on, I am on my 7th 35%, or larger plane this past year! That includes 3 40% Carden's, so believe me I know the pain and loss. I truly have a great blessing in my wife too as she is still at my side. Try having a name like Raines..... "when it rain's it pours!" I wish I had the means, I would like to help you out. My company's stock just plunged to the lowest it has been since 1955. No problem though, I have three wonderful things working for me.... 1) Faith 2) My wife and 3) a grocery cart for my retirement! Ha! Keep your chin up, it sounds like you are due some good luck. Remember, when you get to the end of your rope, just tie a knot in it and hang on.

If you come to Molalla, I have an extra 9C you would be welcome to use.

Rainman,
Count me in for the 5th. It's a short haul for me, and it'll be good to fly an unfamiliar field before the morning of the contest.
