Wow I leave this thread for a day and there is a fricking book to read. Thats good.
Mike, yes the plane is ready. I made some changes too. Lost some OZs as well.
The gear is all fixed and I did away with a couple switches now that I have a reciever that has its own specail switch. Cant check the batteries from outside but I wont need to when I have 2.
Hoping the plane flys better precision now that I moved stuff forward.
Gonna try to fly tomorrow weather permitting. See you there.

Hey Dan,
Bring the Kiwi. Bring the Kiwi. Bring the Kiwi. You are getting sleepy, sleepy sleepy. When you wake you will bring the Kiwi to the field. You will let Darren try it out. He will thank you and you will bring the Kiwi to all future contests for Darren to fly and compete with.
WAKE UP DAN!

Okay buddie,

I will try to fly. My Carden is still out of commission till I get the cannisters back. Hopefully later today. I will fly the yak. It needs to be trimmed out. I am sure it will require some mixes. I am thinking along the lines of the Hanger 9, 35% 260 for a back-up plane. Dave seems to really like his. He says it flys as good as his Carden...? Sounds like, for the money, it might be a fairly inexpensive way to go. Personally, I can't imagine a better flying plane than my Carden. It is an awesome machine!

See you later,
Rainman

Kevin,
No 2.4 issue
The throttle servo was far from the engine with a plastic rod. It would change on my idle every time I would go out to fly.
Needles to say landing idles could change. So when I came in to land it died just before touchdown. I wanted to touch soon so I kept the nose down a bit. When I pulled up to flair the low rate elevator and lack of airspeed resulted in catostrophy. The plane wouldnt flair. The wheel pants hit grass first and the gear folded back.
The plane stood up on its nose and fell back. The gear came back into place which was nice. I was able to wheel the plane off the field.
Its all fixed now with the throttle servo mounted up under the motor box where it should have been all along.

Darren,

The Kiwi is "engineless" right now. I broke a prop bolt off in the hub, and tried to pull the hub myself. I didn't have any luck, so the engine is going to Cactus on Thursday or Friday to have a new hub put on. (I broke my easy out in the hub, and another bolt as well)

I sold my engine from my Edge and I have to put my 3W-106 on that plane.

When I get the engine back for the Kiwi, we'll fly.
