That's a bit too strict IMO. That might work for moving up from basic to sportsman but not for higher classes. Even top notch pilots don't score at least a 9 consistently. Especially if you're at national competitions where the judges see every little mistake.

To expand on this, a couple of us have been talking about having a get together/camp out to practice some IMAC, to help each other out with the sequences, have some real time judging input and so on. Of course we'll throw down some 3D as well. Mike and I both said we'll bring our trailers and let people crash in them. In the evening we can fire up the grill and have some BBQ, burgers, beer, etc... It would be nice if we can do at least 2 full days so we can justify the gas costs.

We sorta decided that the Olympia field is a good central location. Are there a lot of people there usually in the weekend? We have to be careful not to overwhelm the members.

I think we could really benefit from this and really improve our flying and judging. Not to say that we'll have a blast. Who's in?

Well put Ben, I'm in, both feet. Can we leave now??!!! I wanna fly fly fly fly fly!!! I can't believe you had the discipline to stay home after finishing the Giles and work on my Carden. If my plane was ready to go... What??? Hellllllllo!!!! "Oh we're sorry Devin is at the field, leave a message after the beep..."

Man it is gonna be a good time at Oly next weekend... Mike C if you don't get plowed there is no need for a recovery day!!! Hehehehe Fly sober, save lives Muahahahahaha

How could I pass up hanging out with Ben, Dev, Mike and all the rest of you great guys. God knows I could use the help trying to figuring out what I'm doing wrong or maybe even finding out if there are a few things I'm kinda doing right. We have some awesome pilots in the NW and we should all take advantage of learning as much as we can from them.

Had a really great time meeting and spending real quality time with all last weekend in Oly. Rick Sowell did a great job CDing the event, great turnout and the weather was outstanding. Hopefully the weather is as good July 5th weekend.

Count me in. I've got no excuse not to show up since the field is only 17 miles away.

WOW: I looked at this thread at work at noon and now look what has happened, a whole nother page, the 5th will work for a get together as it is the ONLY weekend we get from the Gun Club in July the rest are taken with gun shoots. we get 12 days in the month of July to fly and they get the rest. oh well could be worse I guess. count me in and I will probably get some others to come also, might get enough to have our own private IMAC event. Mike R. lets get together and plan some food for the day, BBQ Yaaa Hooooo Weeeeeeeee

I am spending the weekend with my daughters. Wish I could be there but even family is more important then flying deadly toy planes.
If our plans fall through or are post poned I will be there.
I cant make fun of sandbaggers anymore so I wont be posting till the rule changes.
Kidding.
No sandbaggers in our nw IMAC. It was all a joke. Now you guys know. I had to let it out. So you sportsman guys practice and beat that non sandbagging sportsman champion of the world. It can be done.
There ya go. I made my post for the day.
I will report back tomorrow.
