Smackey.... friendly advice....

Stay in Basic. You have much better odds of winning there. When you move to Sportsman, don't forget you have the Sportsman "lifer" Nick South (just kidding Nick, don't get your knickers in a twist)to compete against, as well as our Canadian brothers who all fly well. On top of that if Sam is staying in Sportsman, then even Nick is gonna have his hands full. I flew against him in Tucson and he fly's very straight and true. I don't know though, dominating beginner pilots should not be the goal. Wow! You beat the beginners! No puns intended guys, just making a point. Not trying to steal your show cause I watched you fly this last weekend and you were terrific. Now, how about a challenge. I mean, are you planning to go to Tucson to compete in Basic? If not, then how many first place trophys do you need? It is growing your skills and if you handle your plane well, then perhaps the challenge might be worthy. As you move up you inherit the opportunity to actually improve in leaps and bounds. I am certain you can step it up and Molalla is the perfect place to do it. You get a contest where you fly more than anyone else. Your ten maneuvers, plus 20 more new ones, all in one contest. It simply means probably a couple more elements in your sequences, but you will be flying against pilots with more experience and tackling unknowns, which can make you or break you...... The best choices are not always the easiest to make. It's not all about winning. Move up..... Move up.... Move up.... Only my two cents here...

Ya Sam, its the last wknd in July. Its called the Pacific Coast Freestyle Championship. Its run a little different as far as schedule. Basic ONLY on Thursday, Sportsman thru Unlimited fly Friday and Saturday, and its ALL FREESTYLE ONLY on Sunday for $$$. Great prizes like planes and motors. Its an awesome contest & you definitely don't want to miss this one. Sponsored by Fromeco, DA and others I believe. And FG will be there broadcasting live on the web. Most everybody in the NW region plus a few from SW make this event. This is a biggy!!!!!!!!!!!
