Not to worry, I take your comments as an incentive to better my machining techniques. Anyways, no sour grapes here - You said you were brining it out - and you didn't have it - it was a bummer. I'm glad I'm still not waiting for your tail wheel as awesome as it may be. LOL.
I never said anything about bringing it out yesterday. I said I cut flower edges on it for you. John I love the fact that you can offend someone with what you say, but when someone gives you a ribbing, you can't take it. C'mon bro I thought we were good like that, hence our uber competitiveness... I guess I'm just jealous yours was produced before mine You'll still get your pink one, just you wait

I thought you said you had 50 of them made early this week and a couple finished and were ready for testing it - I was under the wrong impression somehow. I really thought you were going to show it off and I was eager to see it in action. I love innovation. My bad...

Hi Gang:

We got here and everbody is grooving. Dave flew a good Unknown, and we won't know the final scores till Sunday. All are in festive mood, and as usual it's a great event. We saw and visited with friends both old and new and glad to be here. Attaching a couple of pictures.

Arizona is dishing out brutal flying conditions. At one point the wind was south 20-30 MPH cross the runway, and in a heartbeat, changed to North 20-30 cross the runway. But not hot as it could be, and expecting improvement in weether for the Freestyle Finals tomorrow.

They got permission for a Full Scale Airshow, and it was awesome. Matt Chappman in a CAP did a really exciting 30 minute show. WOW!! Slow rolls for 1/4 mile, tailslides, harriers, you name it he pretty much did it.

Hey guys - the link to the map page for Higgins Field has been fixed. The link is at the bottom of the contest flyer reachable from the schedule page on the NW web site. As noted it is a crummy map. Here are the directions from the map. Use them with a conventional road map to identify Rt 225 and it is pretty straight forward:

We are located in the south eastern corner of Washington. West of Richland Washington and north of Benton City Washington 1.5 miles south of state route 240 on state route 225 on the east side of 225
Look for the MAA sign

Devin, how'd your tail wheel tests turn out ? I tried one out with direct drive - it works killer - so I'll have a direct drive variant in the near future too I think.
