Hey Devin - is that the Duster's field?? Looks big enough for IMAC! What is status on the possible boot camp down there that we talked about?

You know Bruce it had totally slipped my mind... Let's make a sign I can post out at the field and draw interest... I know a bunch of people talked about doing IMAC yesterday, but when it comes time "I had things to do" or whatever... The boot camp might just push them over the edge (pun intended) and get their lily keisters out there

Duster's is very large, I would love to talk Terry into holding an IMAC!!! We'll see if he goes for the boot camp.

Devin - Forward Terry's response when you get it. Remember - we don't need to shut the field down to do it. It will be a couple of hours in the morning of classroom to let everyone know what it is all about and the after lunch some flying/judging demos - and for this we can share the field. Best time would be late June or early July to get it before Molalla. Pick an open weekend on the schedule.

On the contest at the Dusters - all we need is a CD and the field (does have to be dedicated for the weekend...). We will give you all plenty of help if you want it.

You're right, the field would be perfect for an IMAC. Perfectly groomed putting green like 650 ft. grass runway. Plenty of space, surrounded by rye grass fields. No close neighbors to complain about noise as its zoned for loud noise(the Woodburn Drag strip is about a mile away). Having a boot camp has been discussed several times over the last several years. Also, the possibilities of hosting an IMAC event. The problem has been in getting things past the talking about stage and having a person or persons willing to commit the time and effort to organize and make it happen. Another factor would be getting the buy-in from the glow fuel and non-imac interested membership to give up the field for a weekend when they wouldn't be able to fly. The best way to start making it happen is for the pro-imac/large scale gas interested members to start attending the monthly meetings when motions can be made and voted on. Most meetings have an attendance of about 10 or less. By the way, there's a meeting tonight.

Thanks, Dan

I will get back to you Bruce. I would love to have an event at the Duster's club, and after our work party we'll have the giant tent thing moved back for more room...
