Devin...Good luck at the meeting. If the club supports you, you've jumped one the high hurtels. Go for it. I did.
PBear was only my 3rd contest, as of today I've only completed 1 Imac bootcamp, but I'm going to CD a Imac Seminar May 10 and 2 contest this year. This was all decided after my first event...... "Hea, same as you.."

Bruce the Imac crew and pilots will support you 100%.

Think about it, what can go wrong. Try your best and things will be fine..I don't expect to be as organized as some of the guys out there ( Bruce H,Frank P, Mike R,Russ H)for my first event, but I take it as part of life. We're always learning.

Bottom line is,, this is what WE all enjoy doing and it makes you a better all around pilot.
One thing I've included at my events is,,First time Imac pilots are FREE for their first event. Hopefully this brings out the first time Imacers. The Seminars are also FREE. I know I was hooked on Imac after my first event, I believe you are too.

Hopefully Nick will take the reins one day as well, Nick you'ld be an awesome CD.

Since getting envolved with Imac, I've also been asked by Russ Hillman of Kelowna to get envolved with MAAC (same as your AMA ). I'm now on the MAAC Scale Aerobatics Committee. Russ looks after the Interior of BC, and I'm looking after the Lower Mainland. So between the 2 of us were really trying to push Scale Aerobatics/ Imac Rules in British Columbia...

Go for it and have fun with it...

Jerry

For those interested I've added a link to the home page of our website with the procedures for becoming a CD.

In addition there is a lot of general information available in all areas. I have a lot of time on my hands, and collect stuff and put it on the site. Enjoy!!!
