Hey Jerry, I am trying to arrange to be at the Surrey contest. Could you send me directions please. I too, had to pass on Medford, to far and no extra time for me this weekend. Duty calls, retail, this is ridiculous, the company I work for actually expects me to be there and to produce! Whatever happened to , "fine, you can work for me as long as you agree to do the very least you can?" The ordacity of some company's..... can you believe that! Anyway, it definitely threw a curve ball in on me this weekend.

Jerry, try to come to Zillah. It is in the grape vineyards, and it is "drop dead gorgeous." Great people there, Bob runs a classy, fun competition it's one you don't want to miss. There will be incredible flyers competing. Hopefully we'll all get a treat and see Ethan and Kyle fly together. One of the best parts of IMAC for me is going to new places and experiencing the IMAC family. Were gonna have a blast this year. See you there Jerry.
Hea Mike. I'm off to the field to sell a 33% Extra 300 with a Brisson 80 twin. Beautifull plane ,but under powered.. I'm trying to get some $$ together to pick up a 40%. Darren may sell me his Carden Extra 260 only framed. I have a buddy that will cover it for me, He does awesome work. I do ****ty work ,but fly good.

My event in May is posted on the NW site. Dirrections etc are on attached poster..

Send me a PM and I'll foward you my cell# in case you get lost, or future events.

I plan on attending Zillah. I think I'm attending 8-9 contest in the NW this year, if everything goes as planned.

Hea don't you just hate it when work, gets in the way.

Next weekend is our Seminar, I have 28 pilots confirmed. Bruce is pretty excited about the turn out. I pushed and tried to promote the sh*&! out of it.. It looks like it paid off and should be a good time. We've got pilots driving 300 miles.

The contest at the end of May, will have alot of Basic pilots attending, which is great. First time Imac Pliots are FREE. Hopefully we show them a good time, and they'll be hooked, like the rest of us.

Have a good weekend, See ya in 4 weeks..

Jerry

I just Checked and the "Be a Contest Director" link works perfectly, and all the links on the page as well. This is to go throught the procedues to become a CD. You can print out all the forms etc. that are needed to become a CD. And I think is pretty comprehensive.

The contest Directors Menu is strictly for setting up RAMS contests, and is restricted to members and RAMS contest directors only.

Bruce has all the directions for setting up an IMAC contest on the NW IMAC site at:

http://www.imacnw.com/useful_stuff.htm#CDinfo

For all other contests, you will just follow the directions as given by AMA and you will learn during the CD application process. Actually Bruce's directions are pretty much complete and can be used as directions to set up any contest.

No not this year. I travel with the Rainman when he goes and feels he can put up with me for a full weekend. So no Rainman, no old duffer.

Well Guys....

How was Medford????
Who Won???
How was the weather???

I can't believe there's nothing on this forum yet, about Medford ( Monday 9:30 am ).

Just a reminder also. Bruce is coming up this Saturday May 10 to do a Judging Seminar. 28 pilots have confirmed.
If anyone else would like to attend, please send me a PM..
We all know how important judging is when we attend contests. The more your aware of, an know when setting in the judging chairs the better all around Imacer you'll be.

Jerry

O.K. guy's! Medford was BIG!We had about 30 pilots. Every class was well populated with at least 6 or more pilots except 2 in unlimited.(lots of room at the top guy's) The weather was AWESOME! Warm and sunny. A little breezy on Saturday, but an absolutely georgeous calm sunny & warm day to wrap it up on Sunday. We had another SAFE contest weekend with no blood or planes lost. Everything went very smooth, like clockwork. Those guy's (and gal's) in Medford really know how to put on a 1st class event!! Many thanks to all of you for your contribution of effort that allowed us all to have such a great weekend. And especially the food. OH MY GOD!!!!!! THE FOOD! Wow!!! Big cudo's to the small army that it must of took to prepare and serve that imense feast. We had pilots from Oregon, California, Washington, & Idaho and up to 11 hours drive away. And one more thing, they take pictures of every one and their plane and give em' to you before you leave. I said GIVE - not sell. They do it cause they love to see the smile on your face. That is the level of classy people they are!!
As for the official results, I know some of them but would rather not slight someone so I will defer to someone else who knows, or Bruce will have the results up soon on the NW IMAC website. Put this one on your MUST list for next year. GREAT CONTEST!!!
