The Predator is back! I saw him fly his new plane and he is "completely.... off the hook!" I am seeing the birth of another winner. Thank goodness there is always another plane, that you very well could like as much as the last. It sure helps getting over the loss a little easier. I have never seen anything like Darrin's and my plane's disintegrating as they did at the Polar Bear. I could barely imagine that something could just come apart at the seams so....instantly. One second there were these two huge planes, then the next instant, there was just confetti. Here's the flipside, our new planes both flew fantastic today. Now, much practice, as well as getting acquainted with the planes, is needed. Let's all hope our infamous weathermen can make at least one call right, and we actually do get sunshine.... anybody seen any? My plane got in the air, then rain, quick landing, and a mad rush to take it apart. Never hurry when you take a bipe apart... not a good thing.. cause that and Murphy's Law will throw every obstacle in your way. Even a taste, however, was enough. Tonight I dream ..... Phython.... Phython.... |

Hi Nick..Thanks for asking.. Seminar was great, Bruce sure knows his stuff. Very informitive, learned alot. We had 16 pilots show up. Out of the 16, 13 are Brand new to Imac. Hopefully we get them them envolved and flying the sequences. We had another 12 no shows, some sent emails and explained why they could`nt make it. I think overall it was very successfull first ever Seminar. We`re having our first Imac event in 3 weeks. I hope alot of you guys can make it up here. I know Bruce, Nick and Mike will be attending, hopefully alot more of our neighbours from the South will make it as well. Check-out the Imac site for posters and dirrections etc, to our field. Bruce said the drive took him 2 hours this morning. We have a huge flat gravel parking lot for your RV`s, trailers or tents. 600`X 100` manicured grass runway. Like Nick said. Use the online Imac Registration...It sure makes it easier for us first time CD`s.. I`m also keeping track of the pilots who Register online, they will save 5 bucks when signing in at our event.. Devin, Great job on handling your family matters. You have to do, what you have to do..I also have a BME 50cc YAK, you can use it anytime you want... I`ll also be heading down to Zilla. Which Motel or Hotel are you guys staying at.. Cheers Jerry |

I was there and can testify that both planes flew. And well at that. Not sure if it was the pilots or just plain luck, but they both are beautiful planes, and flew great.

Jerry - the seminar was fun and the guys are very enthisiastic. I enjoyed it. Thanks for hosting it I am sure we will have big entry in 3 weeks. The field is very nice and there is plenty of open space. Those considering flying the contest should be aware that they will have to bias their positioning to the right as there is a major roadway to the left and also that the prevailing wind blows from right to left.

Thanks Jerry and thanks Bruce. I think Darrin might even grow fonder of this plane than his last one. It is a gorgeous thing in the air. Presents very nicely. See you guys in either Twin Falls or Zillah.

Mothers Day... Anyone flying??? As Napoleon Dynamite says "Lucky!"Mike & Darren - WOW!!! Those are some sweet planes!! Any tendencies you guys noticed so far?? Wing rock, etc...?? I really like the look of that Pitts Mike, is it 100cc?? It looks rather large. Darren - Is there a Jenny Craig for planes I don't know about??? Put it on the treadmill at 2000 RPM for a couple hours a day ??? I love the graystone paint on the decking inside... That looks cool!Good Flying everyone!! D

Yes, I found out yesterday. The owner insisted I stay here. It's a Finance department EOM closing thing. He has been more than gracious and tolerant through these past few years. I won't press it. Very disappointing however, I was looking forward to it. |

No Jenny Craig just taken off stuff you dont need. The plane flew well at 38 9oz its lighter then the late Dalton. Its a rocket on uplines with a 3 blade prop. That will be handy when it gets hot out. 3D should be nice. Didnt do a whole lot of that. Only flew it twice then it started to rain on our parade. Mike barely got a flight in. He had to land in the rain. Rain..Rainman...So whyed ya land Rainman? I guess he was worried his transmitter would get wet and he would loose his new hog. We will try to fly today wind permitting. We dont have normal winds. We have swirley winds that can slam your plane into the ground or keep it from touching down. Then you slam it into the ground trying to overcome the wind. |
