| CapCanuck ![]() | Congrats Gordon on running your first IMAC competition While its a lot of work and preparation, the actual contest will be here and gone before you know it! Just a few tips....At your pre-contest pilot meeting go over some basic judging criteria or better yet give a simple handout as to what constitutes a zero or not! Have a good scribe and computer person to input scores, not you as CD (you'll have enough to do) Suggest to your club that they run the food and prize concessions and you run the contest. Try to get as many pilots as possible to pre-register so that you can figure out flight orders that don't have freq. conflicts and use a simple pole in the ground and clothes pins with pilot names and freq on them. Fly at your own contest...its supposed to be fun. Don't worry about doing well, you're a winner for just running a contest ![]() Lee Prevost aka CapCanuck Co-CD Canadian Scale Aerobatics Nationals Aug 1-3, 2008 Sudbury, Ontario www.scaleaerobatics.ca www.cambrianrcflyers.ca MAAC 9551 IMAC 3705

Getter DONE! I promise all next year I will be able to give my attention to making Western Canada a leader in IMAC. Awesome!!! As for can773 however, Dude if you could show up and help these guys out that would be awesome. I know your planes are ugly( HA HA )but don't hold that against them. I have said it before, will say it again, the differences are moot, you could be the best thing in Alberta IMAC since planes real people fly! ![]()

Hi Chad, As the website says "the emphasis is on having fun" I am encouraging everyone who wants to fly to come out. I seem to remember that you have a little electric Yak which you could fly.... If you want to fly your Inspire thats great so long as you promise to fly a demo 4 minute freestyle as some point during the weekend! I don't think that anyone will (or should ) get mad if one of the top twenty precision aerobatic pilots in the world wants to come out and see what he is missing by only flying those sissy electric powered carbon fibre lawn darts! Seriously Chad, it would be an honor to have you be part of the event! Gordon

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Chad, please do come fly it would be an honor for us... we could all learn a ton from you. Just for fun maybe I'll bring my 2M plane and everyone can see that it's all pilot since I pretty much guarantee I would not score better with it LOL. And you can fly my 40% 3W Extra any time... I know it's not a pattern bird but I still think you'd like it! I made a presentation to the ERCS club in Edmonton and there was a lot of interest. I will be doing a boot camp/demo for them at some point this spring. Hopefully we will get some more entrants as a result. I think we should be able to support 1 more IMAC contest somewhere in Alberta this year... hopefully someone will step up with a field we can use. One thing to mention is that we really need people to attend the judging seminars and boot camps so that we are prepared for these contests. Everyone should be attending these... after all if you can't judge then you don't know how you are being scored... so how can you do well then? May 11 at Meridian Model Flyers in Edmonton there will be a judging seminar (weather permitting - otherwise we'll find an indoor location.) Boot camps are June 7 at CRAMS and June 14 at MMF. The June 14 one is great as the next day is the Stars Fun Fly an you can make a weekend of it. (Yes I know it conflicts with Valley of hope... not much I can do... every weekend has at least 2 conflicts this year.) |

| I'm here for the women..? ![]() | Don't worry I will be there unless there are unforeseen things happen. I mean its only 20 minutes away and the field is closed so if I want to fly I guess I have to fly IMAC lol ![]() I will bring along a couple of my lawn darts as well ![]() The YAK, I pulled everything out of it and it's in the Inspire, so that is what I would use. Its too much work to try and stuff it back in the Yak. Besides the Yak flies precision better than the Inspire so it would be more of an advantage over the Inspire. Chad |

GREAT I have the opportunity to watch Chad fly on a fairly regular basis (belong to the same club) and I can tell you that it would be worth the drive for any of you who are on the fence about coming out to the event! For those of you who don't know, "Chad" is Chad Northeast - Canada's #1 F3A pilot!
