Southwest Pilots,

Our 2007 contest season is in the books. I would like to recognize our 2007 SW Point Series Champions. We have had 17 contests this year that were apart of the Southwest Series with an over all 197 pilots that have competed in the 2007 year. These pilots have competed throughout the 2007 year and have placed at the top of there classes.

I would also like to Thank our CD's and helpers for the work they have done for all of us. They are the back bone of the success we have in this region and all of them deserve our gratitude. Hard to believe we are in the process of planning our 2008 contest season. Be advised that we currently have many contests already set in the first quarter of 2008.

There is some good information available that will help some of the newer pilots in our region get through the workings of reading Aresti figures. It is important to get a working knowledge of reading aresti and this is a good resource in helping.

I also want to send a Thank you out to the Flying Giants Staff for creating this Southwest forum that is very useful in allowing our SW pilots a communication channel. Great forum to keep up to date on all types of facets in our hobby.

Lastly, I would like to Welcome Zdenek Stejskal "Zee" to the IMAC Southwest Staff. Zee will be working with our membership in the Colorado area as a contact point to help any of you that need it.
As we are approaching the holiday season I would like to wish all of our pilots & families a safe and fun holiday season. That’s it for now.
