Man, It sucks that this ended up not being a full contest for you guys! Looks like you still had fun - wish I was there, regardless...

Yea it was I had a good time, got to go explore Bakersfield looking for a hobby shop "Racers Haven" to get a tail wheel assembly.
Broke mine making an off field landing after flame out.
Discovered later that the gasket between the carb and engine was sticking out. Then had to make a new gasket out of a twix box.
Quite a ways to drive just to fly one round
Now I can't complain about going to the North field to fly.

yeah it was preety lame we couldnt even fly are unknowns, and the unknowns are what always change anything but whatever.
