Bob, Dan,
I'm a fan of the 300 mile range limit. It is unlikely the average R/C pilot can commit to traveling to more then 1 or 2 events during a season more then 5 hours of drive time, I can't anyway. So if it goes to vote... I'm "Yes" for a 300 mile limit between contests.
Thanks!

Please send me an email confirming this. Please also post this on the Yahoo North Central IMAC list.

I am assuming Springfield, IL has put in there request?

Same date, another date?

I know this is off the subject, but can a minor (current AMA member and IMAC member) that now has his driver's license compete at a sanctioned IMAC event without a parent or guardian present if he drives himself to the event?

I would also be for the 300 mile radius - but radius from where?

Thanks for your input!

Tom, Thanks for the reply. It will be great to have another contest close to home. Maybe I will be able to make 3 or 4 contest in 07.

Yes, i did that after i started driving. one of my parents went with me if it was out of state, but thats not a regulation. my first seasion of imac was the summer i started driving, and i think i went to 8 events that year.

the 300 mile radius means that there are not 2 contests on the same dates within 300 miles of each other.....but that is under intense discussion right now

Thanks Curtis and Brian for your input! Seth wants to participate in every IMAC event he can get to and will be taking himself if I can't get him there. I was just curious regarding the "minor"status as a local club we belong to has rules against minors flying without an adult or legal guardian present.

Thanks for explaining the radius. I think the 300 radius would be a good idea. Seth and I have tossed around the idea of having an event here sometime as well. It seems IMAC is really getting popular these days.

Thanks again and hope you all have a great Holiday and great IMAC season in 07!
