This was posted in the Yahoo group by Bob Hudson (NC Regional Director)

	I have been contacted by the Ionia contest Director. Due to circumstances beyond their control they do not have a suitable field at which to hold their contest and they have canceled their event. I have been requested to remove their contest from the schedule. Good news about the Bumb's FlLying Resort Contest. Joe Didia will be co- CD-ing the contest with Rick Shubert and the sanction is being processed. That event will be posted to the schedule shortly. Bob Hudson NCFR Director

Thanks for the info. Bummer about the Ionia Contest, we were planning on attending this one--we had a blast last year. Perhaps we will consider Bumbs instead....

replacement venue for Ionia


Is anybody on this list a member of, or know members of the Celina,
Ohio flying club?

This would be an excellent replacement venue for the lost contest on
the weekend of June 30th. I have flown there and it is a beautiful
site in a State Park.

It is only about an hour from Muncie and would be a perfect tune up
venue for a contest the weekend before the Nationals. Even if the local club members are shy about running an IMAC contest I'm sure there are enough of us to run a contest, maybe we can just ask them to give us the use of the palce for the weekend.

Another suggestion is Findlay, Ohio

Maybe we can get something going here.
