Larry is always the first to offer his planes to anyone who needs one.
I would have stayed home this weekend if it hadnt been for his offer to fly his 260 for the contest.

Sorry to hear of the mid-air between Matt and Adam.
I first saw Adam fly early last summer when I met him, his Mom and grand father at a flyin. Nice kid. I knew watching him fly his QQ yak and letting him fly my Carden Yak that this kid has talent. All winter he emailed me with question about IMAC and told me his intentions to compete. I encouraged him to go for it and to attend a meet as soon as possible.
After hearing about this forum and reading through it, it sounds like a great time was had. But I can see that if this Adam keeps up with this flying, he is going to be a real contender.
Sorry to hear of the mishap, but as we all know, it can happen and one must move on and that is what I have told young man. He is looking forward to his next competition with great anticapation. It really excited him with the way he was helped and encouraged at his first meet. You guys now have another young gun to contend with. Good Luck.

Great contest, fun time with all, and fantastic weather. Much thanks to Kurt, Mike, and all the Club members who made the contest possible.

I emailed with Adam back and forth a bit myself, and he is one heck of a guy, and also a good pilot. Adam was doing awesome in his first round, I was actually baffled by how well he flew for only his first contest. Adam took the mishap very very well, and I hope we see him at other IMACs this year and in the future!

Adam, if you see this, keep up the good work dude!

Thanks to Kurt and all the guys put on this great event, definitely will be attending again next year!

Will post more pics wheb I get a better connection tomorrow, sorry boys and girls.....

I have to recognize on act from the weekend.. Keith Sessions name was drawn for one of the pilot raffles. He won a 50$ gift certificate to one of the manufacturers (not sure which). I watched him walk up to matthew and hand it straight to him and say "here". I don't know if anyone else saw that but me. THAT is the kind of thing that the NC region does for one another and THAT is why the NC Rocks!!

More pictures tomorrow

I wanted to just say that this was the perfect event to make my first ever IMAC contest. Mike and especially Kurt did a great job of running the event and keeping the airplanes in the air.

I'd like to thank a few people that also helped call for me this weekend as I was caller less coming down from Swanton. Thanks to Mike (I forgot his last name) , Forrest Pilkinton, and Wayne Geffon who all did a great job of calling for me. It was also great to talk with Wayne after the round he called for me to get his insight and recommendations on improving a few things, THANKS WAYNE I'm already putting some of this things in place for the Jackson event.

It was also great to meet and talk with a terrific father and son team who came up to the event, Rob and Brandon Duley. It was a pleasure talking with you guys and I'm sure I'll see you at events to come. Congrats on the new house Brandon!!!!

It was indeed sad to see Adam's midair with Matthew as he had flown a GREAT first round. I am sure that with the support of his family and others we will see him soon at other events.

Matthew, great job finishing the contest flying Larry and Seth's airplanes. Both Larry and Seth should be commended for there stand up job supporting Matthew after he lost his airplane.

Thanks to all for making this a great event for me and everyone else.

Well Done!!!

Tim
