Here is a link to the closest hotel that I would recommend for the event.

http://www.americasbestvalueinn.com/bestv.cfm?idp=1336

This hotel is only about 5 minutes from the flying field and it has the cheapest rate. For our event they have reserved 10 rooms for 49.00 + tax (55.13/night). If you do decide to stay here you must mention the "Joyce Park Flying Event" to get the discounted rate. There is a pool and the rooms are very basic.

Dan, I did ask about accessability and they said the doors were big enough for a chair and they do have rooms with handy-bars in them. I can't say that it was designed for handicapped folks but it was retrofitted to work. They have had several folks stay there without any problems.

Down the road on Route 4 (Dixie Hwy) is a Holiday Inn Express, La Quinta, and a Ramada Inn. all of these are nicer rooms but the price is much higher.

I hope this helps.....

Ric

Thanks Ric, I appreciate it. Will look into those. I did see and looked at the one you mentioned, that Value Inn...I seen some reviews for that one last night while looking and it didnt sound to pleasant. I have had some problems in the past with motels going through renovation and retro fitting things, it wasnt a pleasant stay.

Some of the ones you mentioned later I did not see in searching and will look at those.

I really apprecaite the help Ric, will see you Friday early afternoon. Are you gonna be at the field early Friday afternoon ?

Dan,

Fairfield, and Hamilton border each other and Joyce Park is in the middle. The field is in Hamilton on "Joe Nuxall Way" (St. Clair extension) off of River rd. I willpost a map and directions to the field. It is easy to get to and there are many options for hotels and resturants in the area....

Ric
