2007 South Central Boot Camp

will this event still be held if weather does not improve, or will this be postponed. as per weather.com it looks to be rainy and cold all weekend long. would hate to drive 2hours to find out it has been cancelled due to weather.

Thanks Ando, as much as i am looking forward to this little shindig want to make for certain its going to happen. why cant we have clear open skies, no wind on the weekends, thats all i ask for

Guys, I spoke with Doug about an hour ago and we were talking about the forecast. Mt. Pleasant has a forecast of freezing rain and sleet for the weekend. Doug said the forecasted high for the day was to be around 35 degrees. Rick told that in the Ft. Worth area it is also supposed to start raining with possible freezing rain through Saturday and Sunday. Here being east of Dallas I'm sure we will get the weather on Saturday. After much thought and I told Rick to cancel the workshop for this weekend and it will be rescheduled by next week. I know several of you planned to be here making the trip, but it probably wouldn't very safe pulling a trailer through ice and snow just to come and probably not fly. I will keep everyone posted here as to the new dates for the workshop.

Again I'm sorry for canceling but I think it is the best thing for now until this clears up

Hey Rick,

You guys are doing the right thing. To have everybody get there and try to fly in mid 30's weather will be a disappointing weekend. Please keep us informed as I will try to make the event, along with a couple of friends from the Del Rio area.

No problem Ken, we'll keep everyone informed. I think Eddie is looking at doing it sometime after the Judging School next month.

Good call guys........ Looks like the weather is going to take a turn for the worst. As much as I am looking forward to the camp, I would hate for something bad to happen by driving on icy roads.
I'll be keeping a eye out for the new dates.

Looking at the weather, it is gonna be in the 40's and it propbably will not ice, but it will be raining and miserable...Rbyrd, thaks for posting that, I have been trying to get ahold of eddie today, but between my schedual and his, havent been able to get into contact.
