Default Tru Turn Challenge

I hope you guys (and gals) are ready to come back to the Houston area for the Crosby Tru Turn Challenge. We at Prop Nuts are ready to go and looking foward to having you. Be sure to go and pre register at SC imac website link. This will help us get into the air quicker Sat. morning.

Here are a couple of more #'s for hotels in the I-10 and Garth Rd. area that are not on our website.
These are the closet to the field (10 mins). Some of you have asked about the hotels in the Channelview area. This is about 25 mins from the field but it's a rough part of town. I don't recommend it, but it's your choice.
If you are coming in from the North, the closet one to the field is a Best Western on 1960 in Atascocita (281-852-5665). Probably a little over 20 mins from field. The hotels at the 59 and 1960 area are about 30 mins. from field.

There will be some one at the field Friday and Saturday nite so you can leave your trailers.
Field will be open Friday and we should be through mowing by noon at the latest.

Hi Allan, I plan on coming down - maybe with a new guy- late Friday night. The only thing that is unknown is the weather!! Right now there is a 70% chance that it WON'T rain!!

BTW, do you have on hand a sun spot for each flight line? If you do, I won't bring mine.

Yes, we have 2 sun spots and I'm not going to worry about the weather yet. This is Texas where any thing can happen. I would bring an old pair of shoes though.

We're thinking about coming down to Crosby now that the Corsicana big bird fly-in has been cancelled due to the field's condition from all the rain. Our hesitation of course is that the field at Crosby is as bad or worse than Corsicana. Anyone have any info on the current condition of the Crosby field?

Kelly,
Our field is in good shape. We spent several thousand dollars last year on the runway and made some other improvements with regards to overall drainage. I guarantee the main runway(50x400) will be flyable. There might be few spots on the south end of our field where we won't be able to park cars or trailers, but that's not a major problem.

Good deal, thanks Allan. There will be 2 of us in basic and one in sportsman. We'll be coming late Friday night with a 50' trailer. Hopefully we can find a place for it without getting stuck like we did at Jetero a few weeks back. Looking forward to it.....

If you get stuck there, call Ryan's receovery service. "We are here to serve" just ask Jeff Fisher.

Kelly,
The best place for your trailer is the area to your left as you pull in the drive. I'll keep a spot open for you there.
