Has anyone stayed at the Motel 6 just off hwy 20? Is it safe? What part of Abilene is the bad side?

You'd be better off staying on the Eastern side of town. There is a Best Western and LaQuinta at the turnoff to the field. There are several other national chains further east on the interstate, such as a Holiday Inn Express. A local chain, The Whitten, is reasonably priced and is well-run. Their interstate location is close to the field.

Yuk..Im looking at more rain moving into OK City and coming this way..Like we need more rain...My poor airplane trailor about floated away in that flood we got here in Sherman.
