One of our guys was on TDY with a good ole boy that worked for Fish & Wildlife. They were up in the NE somewhere in Boston maybe and went out to a high-class restaurant for dinner. They both ordered Maine lobster. Well, this good ole boy had actually never seen or eaten a lobster so when he had popped the tail off and eaten it the proceeded to suck the head! High clast broads all around him started barfing and passing out! The good ole boy looked up (he had juice or drool going down his chin) and asked what's wrong - this is da way dey do it in souf luzie anna!! It was a riot! AND, better yet - it is a TRUE story!! I wish I 'cud have been dere!!

As for the knife to knife snap, I had it clarified...you use elevator.

I thought you needed to make the nose break up or down so that would entail the use of the rudder. I was wrong, the break needs to be to the canopy or gear

Thanks for making that clear Wayne. I misunderstood a conversation I had last year to mean the nose had to go "up" or "down", depending on Pos. or Neg. snap, no matter what the attitude of the plane. The guy was telling me it had to "Pitch" up or down, just what you're saying...not sure why I didn't catch it, I spent time in the classroom during our training down here explaining this exact thing to students...

My mind just isn't all there sometimes

I guess us northerners should have came to your table to give you some lessons. You don't have to use your fingers to get the goody out. You jus haf to know how to et dem bugs right yeah. One can never have enough cajun food. If I had to eat regular, bland food, I'd loose too much weight. I'm just sorry yall didn't get to enjoy sleeping in the trailer with Trey Saturday night. We definately did not have a single mosquito get brave enough to come inside. Also a shame most missed the late night foamie demolition and Jeremy's fairy dance. Ahahaha ahaha.....EEEEEEE!!! LOL

To all,

We (Cajun R/C Club) really appreciate all the positive feedback. I did not (and could not) put this event on without the help of many willing club members and volunteers. A big thanks goes out to all of them.

A big thanks goes out to all of the pilots as well. I know most drove many hours to attend the event. We even had one pilot drive 1000 miles from Illinios!

There were 26 registered pilots in all. 10 basic, 5 sportsman, 4 intermediate, 4 advanced, and 3 unlimited. Of the 10 basic pilots, 9 were attending there first IMAC event! Judging went well. All pilots judged without complaint. I don't think any one person judged any class more than once, putting new faces in the chair each time a pilot went up to fly.

We got off to a late start on Saturday with low cloud cover and had a 1 hr+ rain delay mid-day. Still we got 3 rounds of knowns in and the Saturday afternoon freestyle. To keep everyone's stomach happy , we made a morning boudin run and then served chicken & sausage gumbo and potato salad for lunch.

Saturday night a bunch of us went to a local joint and had seafood, mostly crawfish! (and a lot of beer).

Sunday we were wheels up at 9:01 and were finished unknowns by 10:50. A vote decided to call it a day. We held a raffle for a 9303 2.4 system doanted by a club member (thanks Rick!) and some other goodies provided by our local hobby shop Big Boys Toys. Then the trophies. Every one was on there way home before noon!

A special thanks goes out to Robert Ritchie from Smart-Fly. He sent over some gift certificates as well as some merchandise. We decided that most upper classmen had enough stuff already and elected to distribute the Smart-fly goodies to all the basic guys who decided to come down and try IMAC.

Again, Cajun R/C would like to thank all that helped with and attended the event. I'm sure it will find its way onto the 2009 calander.

Our club webmaster will be putting together a photo gallery soon. I will post a link once it is up.

Here are a few pics from the Saturday night eat.

Thanks agin for making our 1st annual event a success!!

If I told you, it would be a legal admission of guilt, and if anyone down there is looking for us, maybe a goofy looking dude, hat, stick, gun, maybe driving a green Wildlife and Fisheries truck, we weren't even there. I was here at home the whole weekend.
