Default TRI-Regional IMAC at Clover Creek, near Memphis TN.

We are very excited to be hosting an IMAC event at the Clover Creek field in Toone, TN. This is the location that hosted the Clover Creek Invitational meet about 2 months ago where pilots from all over the world competed. As most of you know the field is located only minutes from two other regional boarders. It's about 45 minutes east of Memphis TN. We are planning on an equal number of pilots from all three IMAC regions (SE, NC, and SC). This post hit the SE site last night, and there's already over 25 pilots pre-registered from as far away as Florida. It will be a great chance to meet and make lots of new flying friends while enjoying the hospitality of the Clover Creek site. The registration will be under the "SE events section" of the IMAC registration site. Anyone from any region can go to the site and register for an event within any region. The site addy is: http://www.letsflyrc.com/imac/contests.asp Please register for the event so we can make plans for all to have a great time. We are planning on entertaining approx. 75 pilots.

For those who have not been to the field, it's one of the best flying sites in the country. It is set up just like the Joe Nall field except with the following changes made: Field faces north (sun is not in your eyes while flying). The tree line in front of the runway, like at the Joe Nall field, is 1440 feet in front of the pilots box. And the trees are very very short, they look like bushes. The overfly area is all grass, one can land their plane any where in the overfly area, and still be on short grass. This is a sod farm that has been converted into a national level flying site. The property is 3/4 mile wide x approx 1/2 mile deep. You might think that you're at a full scale airport when you pull in. The camping area will hold more than 500 campers. Pit area will allow about 100 trailers to back up to a "front row" spot. The center gazebo is an air-conditioned newly built 30 x 50 hanger/shop with a very large shade porch facing the field and two hotel style bathrooms. The flying field has it's own web-site that you can view and get directions, see pictures, etc. It's: http://www.clovercreekaerodrome.com/index.html Please use the site for directions only, this the same web-site for the world class invitational meet also.
