Well, this year is going to be exciting, just sold the CHP Extra and moved into a WH 41% 300.

Really looking forward to hitting the circuit a little harder this year.

See ya'll at the field.

Hey Shaun, I try to make 6 contests a year - if the schedule works out! My list is: Little Rock, Houston (Crosby), Shreveport, Abilene, Sherman and hopefully, Ft. Worth. I don't know about OKC, I might be able to make that. About 8 hrs by myself is just about my limit. Of course, if Todd Jardee comes with me, we can go a bit farther. Also, if there happens to be some new contests that are as close as what's listed above, I may make those too.

One thing this year about the Nats is that since I'm National IMAC Secretary, I would like to just go see the Nats. Do any of you think that you might go to the Nats and if so, maybe I could ride along with you and share a room too. Anyway, it's early but keep me in mind.

Andy, where is the field located in OKC? Can you please give me a street address that's close by so I can put it into my GPS to see how far/long it would take me?

Thank you,

Bobby
Thanks Bobby,
I guess how I start placing in the contest will probably dictate how many miles I'll drive the long distances for.LOL....
That's bad ain't it? LOL...

I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking about doing four contests, plus the bootcamp, and the judging school.Well see how the season progresses.
If I start placing last place maybe it will be just two .
Shaun

This will be my first year competing, i plan on making 7 contests as i am kinda centrally located to where the contests are. Only been flying for about 10months and flying large scale for about 5months. i am really hoping to be a threat in the basic class but my only reason for the competion is to improve my flying skills. lookin forward to the season and meeting some of you good folks at the meets.

It will be exciting. I just finished building a 42% Aerotech 300 for the 2007 IMAC season. Look forward to seeing you at more events, Chuck.

Shaun, I really don't care so much about winning!! Ha, I just shoot for not being on the bottom. Winning is not my primary goal for flying IMAC. My primary goal is to improve my flying skills, meet new people, help the new guys and just plane (yes, plane) have fun!! This is a great sport to be in and I truly enjoy it.

Happy New Year. In fact, for everyone in the SC region - HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Bobby

Thanks Dean, are you moving into Intermdiate this year?

Just curious, i know George is looking forward to being more competitive this year with his piggy going on a diet, i think it will help him tremendously, plus i will be able to go out and practice with him more now that i will have a plane ready, and a way to transport it.

Later

Chuck

Chuck,

I'll likely stay in Sportsman this year. Still need to become more competitive with the Unknowns. Did you get a trailer to haul things with?

I had a WH 41% like you're getting. I'm not sure you were at Sherman last year when I had a mid-air with it with Bill Cunningham. Needless to say it was totalled but quite a sight to see happen. Never did find some of the parts. I still have nightmares about it. You may have been at Sparks at a pattern contest that weekend???

Quite a sight is putting it mildly!!!! Dean thats my home field what parts did you not find? I know where it happened. But haven't ever went to go look for anything.Figured you picked everything up. If I can help let me know.
I was under the scribe tent when I heard someone yell "LOOK OUT". I looked up to see planes hit bottom to bottom. .

Shaun,

Thanks for your offer to look for parts but don't waste your time. Things were scattered quite a distance. We didn't find a couple 5955's. Even if they were found now I would be afraid to use them. What we did find was pretty torn up anyway.
