Okay dudes,I was just looking over all the forums and threads and had an epiphany !! I've never seen a spot for you guys to give manufacturers requests for your needs. The market is going in a thousand different directions. Trouble is sometimes it's just a roll of the dice for the guys spending long dollars to develop new stuff. I think it would be neat to have a spot to post your thoughts so manufacturers could stop in and see what's being asked for. Airplanes, motors, gadgets, servos, new color covering, paint etc. The sky is the limit here guys. What are you dying to have? Last edited by Biff; 01-30-2006 at 02:06 PM. |

Got one... TRAILER COMPANIES!!! Light weight purpose built trailer for two 35% or even 40% planes. Something you don't need a truck to pull.. and can fit into a garage. Since all its hauling is model airplanes... it can be super light... live a glass trailer. nice and skinny just wide enough for the stabs, and have a pocket on the top for wing bags... I'd have my money in today if this existed!!

I love to cover airplanes. I hate to build but find covering relaxing as it is rewarding. When I first started I was often frustrated covering the turtle deck and getting neatly around the vertical fin. I have a system that works great,,,now. It took a long while to figure out how to do this. Kit manufacturers should include a roll of paper with patterns for turtle deck, vert. fin and other tough spots to cut for covering. It wouldn't cost much and would sure save some aggrivation for guys covering.

How about this one for a crazy requirement. A small plastic type battery holder that uses say four or six servo screws and grommets. You screw it into your plane and it allows you to clip your battery packs into it. Common sizes like the two cell Li-Ions, four cell or five cell Ni MH packs. As simple clip type system to hold the cells in place and easy to unclip so you can take your cells out to cycle them or store them in a warm place during winter without the need to cut all you nice tie wraps or unzip velco straps etc. Kiwi |

Thats a good idea, paper patterns. Just like the clear lexan cowls some kits include for cutting the real cowl. How about ARF companies leaving us an option of A,B,or C quality hardware. We want carbon and excellent hardware, we buy A kit. We want NO hardware, we order C kit. Just a thought, seems we always end up throwing out Chinamans hardware in favor of Dubro or something.

Alright Hangar 9!!!!!!!!! Please put out a 33% version of the current 46% toc ultimate . With the same colour scheme. Also an extra 260 or edge in the same scheme. The black yellow white and silver one . I'd buy it today if available. Thanks Last edited by Highlights; 01-29-2006 at 09:59 PM. |

-Spread spectrum computer radio for the big stuff... -A 9c with 2048 resolution...I dont need all that other stuff on the 14mz, but more resolution would certainly not hurt! -A funtana 90 KIT! (I like building) -Servos sold in matched sets? All centered perfectly to each other? -shock flyer with CF on the edges of the fuselage- like the wing I've got others, but I can think of them right now. I will be back. |

How about a simple and clean way of attaching canopies.. But with the ability to remove it easily.. Most smaller planes look best glued, but if dirt or something get on the inside, you can't easily remove it to clean... Something like that 3M tape, but is removabe.

How about: Recievers and servos that can safely operate on 7.2 volts. That should be easliy done and negate the need for regulators. Same goes for igniton units although I believe that 3w already has ignitions that do work with 7.2. Paint such as monokote or Lusterkote that actually matches the covering?!?! Hangar 9 needs to introduce another 50cc extra 260, this time with about an 86" wingspan and around 1400 sq in. As light as their first one came out they should be able to make one awesome 50cc model. If they can price it low like the one they have now they would sell TONS of them. Their quality is very good for the price. Elastic airplane covers to protect it from the sun. I know Carden or someone makes these, but it could be made out of a simple material and maybe I wouldn't have to go to the bank to get a loan to purchase one. If enough elastic was used I would think just a couple of sizes should be able to fit a wide window of plane sizes and they should not cost nearly what the current ones do.
