WOW What a Day!!. Some good and Some BAD..PICS

Well todays flying was ..well ..... interesting. it started off great for a while and i finially got my saito 82 running good. then i had to dead stick it really close and nailed one of the gaurd poles... good bit of damage i think the majority of the frame is bad. but the the covering still have to cut away.... then on the maiden flight of a H9 sopwith camel.. weeeew..... soon after take off it became unstable .. and turned back toward the pits.. at this point everyone is OH OH OH O>>>> and im still behind the camera... i only looked up once to see where it was going so i knew when to run.... but i managed to get the impact shoot right between the start stands, and maybe 5 ft from a new members magic.... was a sight , but one i hope not to see again.... later today that magic was soloed,, another addict to the list heheh... well enough rambling on.... heres the pics... enjoy!

Oh man that sounds like an awesome day. Up here there is still 2 feet of snow and we aint thinking of flying yet.

Man, look at those control surfaces...looks like up elev. and full left alierons just to hold straight and level.

i would have to agree, it was looing tailheavy bad.. even tho it was balanced a nose heavy from the manual specs..

Did he balance it on the top or bottom wing? I made that mistake with a small bipe, balanced the cg from the leading edge of the bottom with instead of the top. Maybe that made it tail heavy.....just a thought. Great pics! Especially the one on impact. you could see the grass flying up!

ill have to ask him where he balanced it... he had a ton of lead inthe nose...
nirtohuffer it sure is,, drift a bit but mostly my fault haha
