Default An idea on a windy day.....

Last Saturday I was flying with some good friends and there was a bit of wind. A steady 10mph was blowing for the first 3 hours. Not bad at all. Well after three hours or so every once in a while we would get a wind gust that would blow pretty good. Not frequent enough to pack up, but enough that if you weren't by your plane it would get lite on its gear and would blow the tail around a little. Well I was joking with Cody and said that all we need are some full scale tie-downs so that our planes wouldn't get messed by the occasional gust. As I pulled off my neck strap I saw a light go off in his eyes. He walked over to his trailer and came back with a handful of EZ-Up stakes. Well this is what we came up with and it worked great. It obviously works better if you use a longer neck strap.

It is too windy to fly if you have to tie down your fuel jugs!

Yah Dan, he put on flights #3,4,5,6 on it that day. It has a brand new 3W150 in it so he's being careful with it still. But he's enjoying the heck out of it.
