Default 2 wing failures in 2 days - oh man!

Rough weekend. Snapped two wings in two days. The foamy snapped on a "blender" - but the wing had been snapped in half before and glued back together.

The 80" gasser profile snapped the wing spar in a straight down dive (at idle) with a quick pull out at about 30' that folded the right wing panel & sent the rest into a bean field. The plane had been damaged before that included the spar being split... and glued along with some other items. So probably not the planes fault. Just didn't do it any good though! Plus in bent over the prop hub on the G-38.

I wouldn't blame the either plane for the failure. Both had been abused before. The 80" profile has never been to an airfield - just flown at home over a bean field.... so no one was in danger if the thing broke.... just a few innocent beans died.

Hopefully the neighbor doesn't notice the divot in his field (plus all that 4 boys did running out to see the remains!)
