OK Sadler the gloves are off now, Guys for those of you who I have not meet or somehow gotten involved with on the old site I hope the following will explain a little. Mr Sadler begged and moaned for a week to have a little history on the Kiwi bird and how he got so goddam addicted to RC and the web scene. So being a kind hearted gentle creature who would barely say SH%T even when I step in it I finally broke down and done a little story. As part of the story I mentioned the culprit who caused this disease to spread in me ( Uncle Baldrick) who scratch builds em from balsa, glass, carbon etc. You name it he done it and I included a photo of his latest creation in a batch of photos I uploaded to Max with the story. Well Sadler lookin to humble me savagely took to the Commie Warbird with retracts like a wet fart sticks to your undies. I am not sure if it humbled his P51 that Tony Russo (wood is good) has almost finished for him or if it struck a patriotic nerve. Whatever it may be the man is facinated by the Commie Polikarkov Rata. Biffy old mate, we know you are a super guy but trying to hide your war bird passion, or is it affliction, is not working. I mean if gays can get married in public in this modern society, then why cant a super closet warbird freak like you come out and proudly proclaim your turn right, fast low pass passion in a public statement biffy. Mate I know it goes against the grain but maybe you could even cajoul Max into setting a small warbird forum just for personal enjoyment my fine feathered P51D huckin friend. Even a chat channel just for the turn right fly fast guys. Biffy we feel for ya mate. Dont feel bad. Kiwi Last edited by Kiwi; 01-02-2006 at 10:35 AM. |

It is Flying Giants, not the Flying Scale Aerobats, Huckin It, or Flying Airplanes And Making Them Do Crazy Stuff. I kinda figured that part of the new site was to expand the membership beyond the SA & 3D crew. Many warbirds do great rolling circles and you can torque roll them.

Hey Mopar. Hows it like being a happily married man now. I will let McQueen answer your question but I think he is looking for Huey Cobra or Blackhawk right now. Seems that shankboning got to his head since he moved south. Kiwi |

The Bearcat is coming along nicely, I'm not the one building it though. Got a friend from the warbird days doing it. Wing is done, fuse is being sheeted. Remember, variety is the spice of life. I love my aerobats, but that is ALL I've been flying for the past 3 or 4 years. Had to mix it up a little bit. Keeps the blood pumping. Funny thing is, I used to think Heli's were expensive, HAHAHAHA. Drop in the bucket compared to what i've got tied up in planes.

I've been working on a lot of warbirds lately, rebuilt a wing for a Spitfire, helped out mounting an engine and cowl on a p51, just work on the side to fund my new IMAC project, and I gota admit, I was kinda grooven on it. My buddy loaned me his warbirds over the rockies DVD tonight and I watched it. THE URGE HAS PAST! Holy crap! It was about 1 1/2 hours of guys talking about crashing, and then when they showed them flying, I could see why! HORRIBLE! No rudder usen' broken retract haven, nosen' over busted prop gettin', garbage bag toten, over weathered paintin', way to fast roll rate to be scale, 10,000 victory roll flyin warbird geeks. Good God, somebody pass the remote, maybe sport center is on, I need a good dose of testosterone! Kev |

I thought that the warbirds were kind of lame, until I saw that GREAT dvd from the AMA. That Zirolli P-50something that Matt Chapman flew was cool enough to spark my intrest. All I had seen before that was those little popcorn fart ones that Tower sells. You know, with the wire landing gear? Never liked those. Like a lost cross between a trainer and one of those "intermediate" planes they try to get you to buy after you have soloed.
