Default Fields and shops in Atlanta

Yep...its true... the Misses and I (and Tristan!) are moving........

Gotta go were work takes you sometimes....

So I need a field or two and a hobby shop in North Atlanta.
My wifes office will be in Norcross and we are looking in Alpharetta and Roswell for homes. So.. where can I fly (40%ers)
I'm spoiled now as I live about 5 minutes from my field....

I know the huckfest is about 45min north of Norcross...
are there fields closer?

Also, I'm currently a stay at home dad and hobby shop lackey! (I love my wife!)
So....is there a shop in that area that I can work at???

anyone know?

Yea yea...I know the traffic sucks... but it has to be done.....

Thanks in advance for any info.....

curtis

(and While I will continue to fly IMAC now in the SE region.... NC still FR!)

I have no idea but probably 2 1/2 to 3 hours south of Atlanta is probably one of the best flying sites and hobby shops in the world. Hodges Hobbies!!! Get everything and anything from small nuts and odd bolts to everything giant scale and then walk out the door and fly on a 1600ft green well manicured field. And get this, its all IN STOCK and he ships!!!! PM me if you decide to come on down. We can meet up and fly the whole day. Saturdays is probably the best time to come down. We fly and then at lunch time hop in the van and head to Monroe's.

Welcome to the South... My office is in norcross too. If you are living on the alpharetta side you should check out GMA. That is probably the nicest field around. It is where they are having the huckfest.

www.gmarc.com I believe..

Drop a line when you get down here, some of us GA boys will go fly with you!

Atlanta Hobby and Extreme Flight are in North Atl. Also, Nashville, Chatanooga, and Atl have a bunch of things going on always...
