Guys, we're off to a great start!!! Thanks to all who have donated. When I first read this thread, I started thinking about the kids who will grow up without a mother or father because one of their parents was brave enough to leave their family and go fight for OUR continued freedom and safety. Many of us spend thousands a year on toy airplanes. With over 20,000 members, if half of us donate $1.00 we could send $10,000 to this great cause. I am not one of the first to jump on the charity bandwagon.....for some reason his one got to me. To see only a little over a dozen names on this list is very upsetting. Come on guys. While $1200 is nothing to sneeze at, as a group we can do much better!!

Dave, I am sure the accounting on this one is a good bit of work. Thanks again to you and all you are doing for this wonderful cause. Craig

It's really not all that bad. This is absolutely exceeding my initial expectations. I have a feeling when we get the checks in the mail (that have been pledged) you guys are gonna flip in amazement.

I get the feeling a new goal will have to be set soon.

If anyone would like to donate at the Shootout, feel free. At the end of each day, I'll have three people with me to verify what we take in.

Next week, my intent is to have internet access at the Red Roof Inn to administer the drive while I'm at the Shootout. My lovely wife has offered to open the checks and send me emails with amounts and names so I can keep the list of donors and total current, as up to the minute as possible.

I will do my best to keep up with the list of donors at the Shootout.
