Nice one Charles. I need a little help regarding chargers. Would you guys go Hyperion EOS 0606i (does this also run off 12V as well as AC? ) or Hyperion EOS 0610i (only DC I think) I just want to charge up to 6S packs. Thanks,

ROFLMAO. I would need to be a Charter Member. Yes, shanks can fit ANYWHERE. <y record is 9 aircraft in my mini-van. No foamies, Gasser Planks, Glow Planks, E and Gasser Helis. Packed , Stacked, like rutting rats. With the shanks nestled inbetween. LOL. Where do I sign up, or where is the first meeting? | ||||||||||||||||||

I flew mine with 6S FLIGHTPOWER EVO 25's. You can find any good 6S pack, and it will pretty much balance right on. 600E's tend to be a hair tail heavy believe it or not. I never added any CG balast, and flew it like a raped ape. I 3D'd that thing like crazy, and power with the XL was great. Collective management is a good thing, especially when you can pull 13+/13- it really will eat up head speed in a hurry.

TP 5000 packs. Do you know if the hyperion 0606i charger will balance them or the blinky?

I dont know much about the hyperion line. I do know that you MUST stay @ the 80% rule of discharge with these big packs. Always balance them every charge too. Keep your temps down also, if they're hot consider re-gearing or changing throttle curves.

I sent you a PM regarding chargers. You need to watch out for the watts that the charger can handle. Most chargers are advertised kinda deceptively, for instance, my TP 1010c is advertised as doing 10amps and 10 cells, but, it can only do 10 amps up to 5 cells, then it tapers down to 5 amps at 10 cells. The Eos 0610i looks great, you shouldn't be limited at all with that charger. I never really looked at any chargers besides the 1010c, since I had used a friend's and knew I liked it, but I've heard great things about the TME Extrema, and I've also heard of people having good luck with the Hyperions, but again, look at the wattage before you buy, you don't want to get stuck with something that'll take 3 hours to charge your packs. I did a quick look at Hyperion chargers, and that one you list looks great, just get this cable to go with it so it'll hook into the Thinder Power packs: http://www.allerc.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=3162 |
