Hey guys, In a moment of senselessness I purchased a shank. As beautiful as it is I akm considering selling it and getting another 35% (Cap) and a FG scheme Fliton Extra. Should I keep the shank and teach it to be a plank? or Sell it and invest in the planes? I especially would like to hear from guys who have been similarly shanked only to see the light, or from others who enjoy a bit of both worlds. I intend to just cruise with the odd loop/roll. The shank is as follows: T-Rex 600 CF Torque tube upgrade Futaba 611 gyro Curtis Youngblood CF main and tail rotor CF fin and stab Custom canopy Upgrade motor/pinion Full aluminum head Thanks!

Don't be a little girl, keep it and fly it! Helis are great, and the 600 is the best of the bunch. I love mine, very smooth, and it's easy to get a quick flight in when you need a fix. I love that I can come home and even if there's only 20 minutes of light left, I can still go out and get a quick flight in. Great heli.

Ya, I haven't even pieced it together fully, but I just through the canopy and boom on and it looks awesome!

Man, it's an awesome heli, I've flown helis for 13 years now, and it's the best I've had without a doubt. Smooth, powerful, just awesome.

I guess my nerves come from a Shogun 400 which blew the tail rotor sahft drive in a vertical pirouette. Spectacular crash for a tiny heli though! I always wanted to wait until there was a robust ship out there, and the Szabo videos prove that! Unless I really screw up with the setup, I doubt that it will fail on me just cruising around.

It's a lot different from a junk Shogun. You'll love it, I fly mine pretty hard, and haven't had anything go wrong with it. It's a hell of a helicopter.

I have a Knight 3D that I am trying to sell right now. I will tell you if you can wait and don't need to sell it now is not the time. There is a flood of 600N's on the market right now and very few buyers. I would build it and fly it and wait until spring.

Dude, just fly the heli, it is as sound of setup as you will find anywhere. If it goes in the dirt its because you put it there lol.

I got bit with the shank bug half way through the season this year. I purchased a Century Swift to start with....and absolutely love it. I went with it purely because of it's size and it was electric. It's a great flying smooth heli. Still being smitten by the shank bug and being incredibly pissed at my AM 33% yak.....I traded it off for a Century Predator Carbon Gasser. That ship is more than a little intimidating. I've only had the nerve to pull it off into a low hover and that's about it. I've got a TON of tweaking to get the setup just right, but I can't wait to get it finished. I won't be flying it much right away as I've got a ton more learning to do on the swift. I say stick with it.....you won't regret it. Neo |

I have been bitten by the Shank Bone bug. I bought the Gohbee 50 off 66stang earlier. Wife got me a Hirobo Scedeau 50 for X-Mas, I also have a Titan mini 325 and a NIB Trex 450SA. The Gohbee needed a little clean-up and fixing to be to my likings( No insult to 66 ) and the Titan Mini flies great. My son is flying the Blade CX. LJ
