mine is two years old now and have one 8611a on the rudder with no problems, as far as the weight, I think my 30% yak was around 16lbs. If you can get it around 21lbs that would be good, the 33% does not fly like a heavy plane.

You may get away with one 8711 on the RUDDER OF A 33% SD YAK but i never tried it!! I can only tell you one Hitec 5955 will work but no rudder authority at all. I have tried that. I put another 5955 on it. It was a whole new beast!!!
Agreed, I have exactly the same experience with another 33%. (Krill Katana and Orion Models Velox).

You guys want to post some pics of your inside setups on this plane. I just received all my electronics and am ready to go ahead and complete it. Will make it easier on me that is for sure. I plan on using the cable supplied for the rudder with a 3 inch Air Wild servo horn. Only second gasser for me so the pics will help as well.

I'm really not sure why you guys don't get this, so here we go again.
Forget the pull / pull (old school, very old "dod" school).
And put one in the tail.
Yea it's a little more work but it is so much easier in the long run.
One 8711 is all you need.
Less money and less weight.
But just as filling.

T.Bob, if you run a DA 85 you can NOT afford the rudder servo to be in the tail, you will be way Tail Heavy.

hey Pundi Thanks bud!

T. Bob, go bother another thread man you are one grumpy dude. What are you seventy and have no life? You are worse than my grandma in the beech beech beech category. You are not helping at all. I do NOT want the damn servo in the tail for more reasons than just tail heavy. I am almost positive that tail will be smacked into the ground at one point or another and I really don't want to replace the servo as well.
So please, Hush, that gaping hole in the front of your face man : )
Really getting sick of reading your BS
