I have the jr x9303 2.4butwhy go two 8711's when you can do this for cheaper with a ton more power.
Check it out: http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/SeikoDurant.htm.
If you want to tap into 12V Li setup you can achieve 1800 oz torque

One 5955 on rudder is plenty. I fly one on a 35% and it still is plenty. If you use a seiko, you'll need more battery to run it

Well here is the dealI amorderingeverything from TBM tomorrow to finish the plane completely.
I want to go Li-on Lipo but I know nothing of them or how to charge them yadda yadda. So I think I will be spending alot of time on the phone with one of the guys at TBM tomorrow. But if I'm going to drop 1800 in electronics I think they can take the time.

I disagree that is a hugh rudder. Bigger than most 35%ers. One 5955 is not enough. I run two. I do have pics posted in other threads on how i did it.

I fully agree it isdefnot enough and the seikops-o50 is the servo going on my rudder. There is no doubt that I will have enough rudder servo. Going to tap it into a 7,4V pack and draw around 800 oz/in of torque.
I am just new to the world of lipo etc, andam spectacleabout switching what I know so well. But it sounds so much better; I must try...

I run (1)- 5955 on the Sd 33% yak on the rudder ,beat the crap out of it. Also Have it in the sd 35% 260 no problem.Been running them for a year in all my planes under 35% high-alpha anything, I-mac, 3D ,big knife-edge loops no problem, banged the tail on the ground multiple times and they keep goin strong. Dont fear the single servo setup a seko is stronger but overkill and heavy. If you keep your dry wieght in the 24-26 Lb I would say go for it. My yak 22lb my 260 24.4lb We currently have 6 33-35% planes at are field all running a single 5955 servo on the rudder I can't say enough about how much I love it I want roll around on the floor with it and take it to dinner,ok maybe I've gone to far.

I say two 5955 are perfect for the rudder. Seiko is too much power and weight for a plane this size.
