Woohoo, I have put this plane off for six years. The new offerings by H9 made it impossible for me to ignore. The floats were a little plain so I hooked them up with a little vinyl and non skid decking for realism. This is one tight little plane. I can't wait to maiden her this spring ![]() Ps I am going to make a cedar planked canoe and paddles for it a s well. Maybe a pair of snow shoes and or some flyrods as well. Definitely not a 3D machine .lol |

Plug and play all the way. I have always wanted one of these planes on floats. They are very nostalgic for me. I spent most of my Twenties in float planes. For some reason or another however I never put aside the time or money for one as an r/c model With the release of two plug and plays from H9 I could not pass up the opportunity of owning one finally. I have spent all of an hour putting her together. And cheap! some of my foamies are double the $ of what I have in this thing. Funny , the H9 floats were murder to install. Probably because I was expecting a very quick "perfect" install. Nope, all the mounting holes and wheel collets had to be redrilled to accomodate the over plated wire landing struts. ![]() Aside from that frustration the thing is a charmer! I can't wait to maiden it. Sure will be differant in that the stress of the bigs ones won't be an issue. Just easy circle flying. Yah we'll see. LOL PS , as nice as it would have been I just could not see having the 1/4 scale and a grand worth tied up in a circle flyer. Maybe if I really like it. Who knows. For now though this little 40 size is perfect for my needs. I still can't beleive I'm in for only $400.00 |
