Reading between the lines, he designed and built this bird over 5 years ago but has flown it only a handful of times in displays and competitions. Must not have been all it was cracked up to be. Even watching him fly his modified Sukhoi compared to this thing, the Sukhoi seems to do everything a lot better and cleaner.

Not saying I wouldn't love to have one though....

Jurgis was flying his Juka at the Warbirds Over Wanaka airshow last month here in New Zealand. In the past he has had a variety of different Sukhoi airframes out here but the Juka was pretty cool. Its a tiny aeroplane with the same big Sukhoi radial so has a pretty extreme (for fullsize) power to weight ratio. It could basically hold a hover which was impressive in itself.

I agree a model would be interesting, however the fullsize has a very short tail moment ...

I too saw Jurgis at Warbirds over Wanaka, but was dissappointed in his latest display in comparison to previous years, perhaps regulations in regards to low level aerobatic displays have been tightened again. But yes, certainly a design worth exploring.

I saw an 80" arf for this plane a couple of years ago but never saw anyone in the states bring it in. Ugly and I am sure if anywhere near scale would fly like poo but cool for sure.

Ultimate Indoor Foamy Build, The Series!

I also have a .40 size profile and a 100cc IMAC bird drawn, but they'll never likely see the light of day........
