Traffic Cameras SUCK!

Hey,if you get one of those plastic plate covers sold in most stores,they sell this spray that refects light so they can not get you plate #'s on photo.Seen it advertised in car magazines.

Chicago has had traffic camaras going for a while..
Plus on the freeway signs there are also camaras
which is how they gauge the traffic times..

As to how can they issue a ticket when they
don't know who was driving.. Simple..
registared owner is responsible for thier car
at all times... Yes,, even if it is stolen.. So
the registared owner would have to submit
to the court they were not driving,, but
say who was.. If stolen, they have to
submit a police report to verify such...

This is like the movies of past of the future..

I'd go from behind one of them buggers and spray paint the lens, but do it from behind so they couldn't see who did it.

That really does suck though, I wonder if you get charged extra for flicking it off as you pass.

The law says that is your problem as you know who had the car supposedly.

SleepC, you need to go to the cops next time and say your car got stolen. Just leave up the block some place easy for them to find it. Works ONCE. No good second time I promise.

Normally these things have a flash on them so you know if you got busted.

Hey, I didnt see a face in those pictures. They got me once smokin a yellow light. Since the pics didnt capture my face, I pled not guilty. They had to drop in court because they couldnt prove it was me. All I said was, I let my roomates borrow my car anytime, Im sure it wasnt me... nothing they could do.

Try bragging about your numerous speeding tickets and ranting about automated traffic safety measures, to the parents of a 9 yr old girl who will probably never recover from her serious head injuries caused by a stressed and distracted woman driving past a school in a hurry to get to the hairdresser in time. Or anyone in a similar situation for that matter.

I'm a surgeon, sitting on trauma call, waiting for that kind of sh**t to happen and then I open a forum about my favourite hobby and see this nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It certainly kills any good vibes that're supposed to be here here.

Try switching on your brains for a while and think about the fact that globally, more people die in the traffic than in wars. This is a fact recently found by a British research team.

I remember when they were digging up the road to put that camera in and I was thinking to my self "how long it would be before anyone i knew got a ticket". good job sleepy. didnt take you to long.

Here in Japan the cameras take pictures of the driver, any passengers and the plate. No way you can say it wasn't you driving. If you get caught it's your own fault, as there are 3 signs posted before the camera telling you that this road is monitored by cameras.
