Traffic Cameras SUCK!

Ok.. so if my driving record isn't bad enough (60+ tickets in 18 years, used to ride stunt sportbikes and get tickets for wheelies)

NOW I get a ticket mailed to me.
Un freakin believeable.

I'm Mr. cool on the road now.. and NOW even when no one is there, BIG BROTHER is WATCHING!!!

That blows they did that in colorado for a while....then they decided it was entrapment or invasion of privacy or something and then had to refund the money. and now I see cameras poping up all over STL at intersections and on the interstate......civilization sucks!

Yea I know.... all my friends are cops EXCEPT me.
And I don't mind the tickets from Cops.. I derserved them and I accepted them...

But there is just something not right about a traffic camera.
Look around my car in the pict... do you see other cars? People? anything?!?!
A few miles over the speed limit was (yes wrong) not too bad of a thing with those circumstances.

All my cop buddies go down this street alot faster than 10 over!!!

Oh well... no points thats all that matters... so its just the city taking even more of my hard earned loot.

Try living in my state . We have not only fixed speed cameras we have mobile ones . They are moved around all of the time and they operate 24/7 . We also have red light cameras and now they have started to inotroduce red light speed cameras , so if you put your foot down to beet the red they will get you for speeding .
Our speeding fines start at $135.00 for 5 kph over the limit (THATS ONLY 3mph )and there is NO margin given for error .
You just can't speed ever .

I was having a debate with my friend about these cameras a while ago and the question was: How can they give you a ticket? They can't tell who is behind the wheel (or can they?), so how can they give you a ticket? Lets say your wife tried to burn a trafic light and got a ticket via a speed/traffic camera....how do they know if was your or your wife?

Yeah it definately is a bummer. So what exactly did the ticket say? I looked at the pic but i couldn't make out most of the words.
