Ok guys here is the reality..... - We all love our RC hobby. - None of us are getting any younger. - We will all have to "retire" some day, hopefully having enough income to support our flying addictions. So... If one was fortunate enough to retire, move anywhere in the U.S. and still afford to fly, then where too? So how about we hear some suggestions for the best place for an RC'er to retire to. Taking into consideration things like.... - Cost of living (so we can still afford to fly). - Weather ( maybe year round flying temps and not too much wind). - Good local flying location and a community that will tolerate its exsistance at least until we croak. - Last but not least... somewhere the wife will be happy with since we all gotta come home some time. Lets see what you got... and remember pictures are worth a thousand words. P.S. wont show you mine cause the High Desert aint pretty and its to D^mm3d wiiiiiiinnnnndy.

Maybe some enterprizing person should start a retirment community development that centers around an awsome flying site of which membership dues will be part of the association fees.

Big Jerry has tracks of land for sale and there is a private R/C field located right there! Ashland , VA. Home of Butcherfest! Nice wooded lots. I believe he is selling 10 acre lots. Chime in on the Flying Wood Butcher and Bat Fasterd thread. FWB's dad is Big Jerry! Happy Flying! KP

Henderson, Nevada 1. no state income tax 2. slot machines 3. cheap food 4. lots of housing 5. no snow 6. no rain 7. little wind 8. did I mention great buffets? 9. low crime rate 10..but best of all..this...7 sq. miles of nothingness to fly all year.

If the flying field is that close to the homes, what happens when someone turns on in his workshop and someone is flying on that frequency at the field? All flyers would have to be on 2.4 Ghz. Greg |
